The Coelacanth is the twenty-first catch in the Tranquil Sea. It is based off the West Indian Ocean Coelacanth (Latimeria chalumnae), a prehistoric fish genus previously thought to be extinct. It weighs on average 80 kg (176 lb) and can reach up to 2 m (6.5 ft) in length, with females being slightly larger. It is found in very small numbers in coastal waters from South Africa to Kenya. As very few specimens have been caught, little else is known about them.
